Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest and acclimatise. Your guide will brief you on the journey ahead over a welcome dinner.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,840m/9,318ft) & trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,562ft) 3-4 hrs walk

An early morning flight to Lukla (2,840m) is itself an adventure the airstrip is carved into a Himalayan hillside. Begin trekking through pine forests and rhododendron, crossing suspension bridges over roaring rivers to reach Phakding.

Phakding → Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Trek through Sagarmatha National Park, passing traditional Sherpa villages and suspension bridges. The steep climb to Namche Bazaar the gateway to Everest rewards you with your first glimpse of Everest and surrounding peaks.

A crucial rest day to allow your body to acclimatise. Explore the bustling Sherpa town visit the Everest Photo Gallery, local market, and Sherpa Culture Museum. An optional hike to Everest view, sweeping panoramas of Ama Dablam and Everest.

Namche → Tengboche (3,860m)

Trek through rhododendron and juniper forests to Tengboche, home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Watch the afternoon light transform the face of Ama Dablam (6,812m) into gold one of the most beautiful mountains on earth.

Acclimatisation Day at Dingboche

A second acclimatisation day is essential at this altitude. Hike above the village to a ridge at 5,100m for sweeping views of Makalu (8,485m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Cho Oyu (8,201m). The sense of scale at this height is truly humbling.

Dingboche → Lobuche (4,940m)

Cross the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier as the valley narrows dramatically. Pass the poignant memorial chortens for climbers who gave their lives on Everest. Lobuche is a remote cluster of lodges at nearly 5,000 metres.

Lobuche → Everest Base Camp (5,357m) → Gorak Shep

The pinnacle of the journey. Trek across dramatic glacier moraine to reach Everest Base Camp a windswept plateau of ice and rock at 5,357m. This is where the world's greatest mountaineers begin their summit bids. Return to Gorak Shep.

Kalapatthar (5,555m) → Fly Lukla → Kathmandu
